WOMEN’S SOCCER

Head Coach – Mike Sica

Mike Sica is the Women’s Varsity Soccer Head Coach and has been with Archbishop McCarthy for ten years; four years as an assistant coach and the last six years as the head coach. In his six seasons as head coach, he has compiled a 115-32-11 record which includes: 1 District Championship, 1 Regional Final, and 6 District Finals appearances.

Coach Mike has received several awards including, Sun Sentinel Coach of the Year (twice), Miami Herald  Coach of the Year, Florida Athletic Coaches Association Coach of the Year, and the Florida Athletic Coaches Association “100 Wins Honor”. The coaching licenses held by Coach Sica are the United States Soccer Federation C License, United States Soccer Federation National Youth License, and the NSCAA Advanced Regional Diploma.

During his 12 years plus club soccer career with Weston F.C. and Davie United, Sica has coached in State Cup, Region Cup, Super Y League, National Premier League and numerous college showcases such as CASL, WAGS, Disney, and the Orange Classic. His Weston F.C. 94/95 Girls Premier team won the 2008 Region III President’s Cup.

Sica spent 25 years with the Pembroke Pines Fire Department and retired as a Battalion Chief in 2013. He is still a state certified paramedic, has degrees in Fire Science and Emergency Medicine, in addition to being a CPR Instructor. He currently works as the school medic at Archbishop McCarthy High School
