Head Coach – Coach Knoppel

Coach Knoppel is in his 8th year as Head Coach for Archbishop McCarthy’s Ice Hockey team. He grew up in South Jersey and has a Canadian family tree. He has been coaching ice hockey for 18 years, and has helped move and establish many players at various levels in junior programs and colleges. His philosophy is based on fundamentals with a defense first mentality, and he enjoys drawing and teaching life lessons thru sports while maintaining a strong focus on academics. During his 18 years, he has coached Mite, Squirt, Pee Wee, Bantam, U16, U18 and high school at various levels from in-house to AAA.
